Emily McEvoy serves as Assistant General Counsel to Lehigh University. Emily leads the Academic & Institutional Advancement practice area, advising various campus partners and offices including the Office of the Provost, Admissions, Financial Aid, University Communications & Public Affairs, Development & Alumni Relations, and Procurement. Emily also manages litigation on behalf of the University.
Prior to joining Lehigh in 2026, Emily was an associate at Sullivan & Cromwell LLP in New York, where her practice focused on commercial litigation, white collar criminal defense, and regulatory and internal investigations. Emily also previously clerked for the Honorable Edward R. Korman of the United States District Court for the Eastern District of New York.
Emily received her Bachelor of Arts from Cornell University and her Juris Doctor from Columbia Law School, where she was Executive Notes Editor of the Columbia Law Review.
Emily is a member of the National Association of College and University Attorneys.
